Valorisation de peptides bioactifs.

Enseignant chercheur au sein du département ST de l’INU Champollion d’Albi, je réalise mes activités de recherche au sein du laboratoire Biologie et Toxicologie des Substances Bioactives (BTSB) EA 7417.

Appartenant à la section CNU 65 biologie cellulaire, j’ai acquis au cours de mon parcours universitaire (doctorat, postdoctorats et MCF) une expertise variée et approfondie en biologie cellulaire, physiologie animale et pharmacologie et toxicologie.
Grâce à mes compétences et au soutien de mes collègues de l’INU ainsi qu'aux différentes collaborations établies au cours des 15 dernières années, je travaille actuellement sur les modes d’action de molécules bioactives et leurs utilisations en agronomie et santé humaine (domaines de la neuroprotection et de la cancérologie). L’identification et la caractérisation de molécules biodégradables issues du monde du vivant pour remplacer les solutions de la chimie traditionnelle vise ainsi à une réduction de l’impact environnemental des activités humaines.
Par ailleurs, j’ai initié des travaux sur les mécanismes d’action cellulaire de polluants environnementaux afin de mieux comprendre leurs impacts sur la santé humaine et la biodiversité. Ces travaux permettront d’avoir des éléments solides pour développer des systèmes de détoxication et conduire à terme à une diminution importante des sources de pollutions environnementales.
